Quick Tip #3

Do you make your own hook baits but don't want too many of the same flavour or colour? Want to experiment with small quantities of different flavour/colour combinations?

Solution: Make one-egg mixes of various colours with either no flavour at all or a single, neutral liquid such as a sweetener or appetite stimulator. Roll and then air-dry the baits for at least a week until hard. Whack a handful of baits of various colours into a soak pot and add just enough concentrated flavour* to coat each bait. Leave the baits to fully absorb the flavourings and repeat until desired strength is achieved. You can prime/revitalise the baits by adding more flavour over time.

*ensure any combinations of flavours are thoroughly mixed
